DiPietro Calls Out New York State's Negligence Amid Migrant Crisis Chaos

With widespread concerns about ethical lapses and opaque dealings in state politics, Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) joined his colleagues in the Assembly Minority Conference today to introduce crucial legislation regarding the state’s migrant crisis. Bill A.09167 mandates notifying ICE of non-citizen arrests, restores maximum sentences for misdemeanors and repeals misguided “protect our courts” laws.

“New York state's mishandling of the migrant crisis is unacceptable. National borders remain porous while our state hampers cooperation with federal authorities. Recent assaults on law enforcement provide yet another example of the danger amid the humanitarian crisis that has been unleashed at the will of progressives and their anti-American agenda,” said DiPietro.
